New Baby! MAC's True Love's Kiss Limited Edtion Lipstck from theMaleficient Collection!

Note to self: Never order something online right before a long weekend because you will die waiting for an excess amount of days to receive your order.

I ordered this right before May Long Weekend and it drove me up the wall waiting until the following Tuesday for it to arrive! Sadly, I thought they would just put it in my apartment mailbox, but I actually had to be present for the delivery and so I missed the original delivery and after many calls with FedEx, taping a sign to the delivery guy on the building door, annoying my best friend with my whines about waiting for it to arrive, and staying home on Wednesday from school, I finally got my lipstick!!!

I'll be honest, I totally bought this for the packaging. I think it's beautiful and I was so happy to see when it arrived that it's super glossy compared to the normal MAC lipstick packaging!

I'm not really a red lipstick kind of gal. I find I have difficulties pairing it with an eye makeup combo I like, it makes my teeth look yellow, and I just don't feel it's an awesome color on me. Like I said, I ordered the lipstick for the packaging. That being said though, it is a beautiful color. As you can see in the swatch below, it is very bright.

No flash, natural lighting

For this collection, this is a great color, it makes sense, but if not a bright red like this, I would have liked to see an almost black lipstick with a bit of purple to it. Yes, sounds like Cyber from the Haute Couture Collection, but even darker than that! And maybe it could have been called Black Thorn or Dark Spindle; something like that. That's just my opinion though!

All in all, I am happy with this purchase. I don't regret it and I plan on wearing it in the future, not just hiding the captivating packaging in my makeup bag forever!

Xoxo,
Russian Red.
