With now wearing foundation comes with wanting a foundation primer and with that came revisiting an old favourite of mine: Smashbox's Hydrating Photo Finish Foundation Primer! I used to use the lighter version (the white one) under all my stage makeup when I was younger and still danced and I remembered thinking it was the best thing ever and so I asked my mother to pick me up a new one! This time, I have the hydrating formula, but I don't mind since my skin has taken on a lot of dryness this year!
I wasn't sure if I would love it as much as I did when I was younger because I was doubtful of it really making a difference, but it does! It goes on with a burst of hydration, minus the oily feeling, and aborbs into my skin quickly leaving my face feeling refreshed and ready to take on anything! I noticed when applying my foundation that it just seems to apply and blend into my skin nicer and more evenly. After applying my foundation and looking at my face, it just looks like my makeup sits better on my skin before. The coverage looked more flawless, even, and natural than before. I'd say this primer definitely does it's job. I mean, I wouldn't die without this product, but it's great to have on hand. Doesn't seem to have any cons to it yet! I'd say it gets a 10/10 from me!
