New Babies! My Purchases from February 7th!

After having the lovely Stephanie do my makeup on February 7th using the new "A Fantasy of Flowers" Spring collection from MAC Cosmetics, I spent quite a bit of moolah buying me some new babies! For those of you who don't know me (but for those who do: shout out to Olive!), my lipsticks are my babies, but basically any new purchase is like a precious baby to me. Here's what I bought:

Left to Right: Stereo Rose minerlize skin finish, Chartreuse Bouquet Pigment, Lily-White pigment, Sassy Moss fluid line, New York Apple lipstick (Frost), Creme de Violet eye shadow

Stereo Rose, Mineralize Skin Finish: I absolutely love this product! I'm not a big fan of wearing anything on my general face (like foundation, powder, ect.) or wearing blush, but this really works for me! It highlights very nicely and because I am oh so white, it actually gives me a gorgeous flush of color on the apples of my cheeks. Stephanie was telling me that because I am so fair skinned, there really are no blushes she would recommend to me in MAC's permanent line because they are much too pigmented for me and none would really suit me as well as Stereo Rose does. I full heartedly agree with her, too! So for all you uber white girls like me out there, go and get your hands on this skin finish!

Chartreuse Bouquet, Pigment: I have never really been a big fan of pigments before, but after purchasing my first one over the summer (Vanilla), I'm really starting to see the appeal! This acid-like green is a perfect spring color; think healthy, grassy, green meadows that simply radiate a spring glow in the afternoon sun. Whether you choose to use it wet or dry, it really gives you a beautiful pop of color to any look.

Lily-White, Pigment: This pigment has more of a yellow toned glow to it, and I love it! It's great as just a plain eye shadow all over your lid or highlighting your inner corners! And for those of you who are naturally more tan, I'd suggest trying to use it as a highlighter on your cheek and brow bones.

Sassy Moss, Fluid Line: I LOVE LOVE LOVE this gel eyeliner. It's the most stunning color and it was love at first sight, really. To really achieve it's full beauty, when you use it, layer it up a bit. One swipe of it is pretty, but going over it a few times really heightens the color. Tip: When applying the liner to lid, flip the container over on your counter, or any surface, to avoid it drying out; after all, you wouldn't want to cut it's life short! If you're try to preserve it's life, it should for sure last you a year!

Creme de Violet, Eyeshadow: I am a big fan of purple on the eyes, but for some reason, I don't own many purple shadows that I love. That's one reason why I purchased it, aside from it being a lovely shade anyways. You can apply it in a light dusting of purple or really harden up the color and make it more bold, more fierce. This is my everything purple now. It's so versatile!

New York Apple, Frost Lipstick: I have never owned a Frost lipstick before, most of mine are either Matte ones or Cremesheens, but I can't get enough of this metallic finish! If you're looking to stay on trend, the MAC makeup artists have confirmed the metallic look is definitely a big thing this year with lipsticks so go buy this shade, or any Frost lipstick for that matter!

Alors, these are my most recent babies. And I love every single one of them with all my heart. #mommylovesyou

Xoxo,
Russian Red.
