LOTD: February 19th, 2014 (#2!)

Here it is, my second LOTD because I apparently not only got out of bed at 5:30 in the morning and managed to put on makeup once today, but decided to do it a second time! Yay! This is what I actually wore on my face to my job interview (Which I believe went super well! Fingers crossed!) earlier this aftenoon!

Full Face

Lips: MAC Matte Lipstick in Heroine
Eyes: Smudged Smolder eyeliner, Chestnut shadow from Mega Vision Palette, MAC Creme De Violet shadow, Lavender/Violet shadows from Mega Vision Palette, MAC Lily White Pigment

Brows: MAC Folie shadow with Anastasia's brow gel, highlighted with MAC Vanilla pigment.

Eyes: Just like my first LOTD, I lined my eyes with Smolder and smudged it. I applied Chestnut, from the Smashbox Mega Vision palette, (see my RR Review on this "mega" palette... haha, I'm punny)  as a base shadow all over my lid. Then I really layered my MAC Creme de Violet eye shadow in in my crease and then over the smudged eye liner. After that, I mixed Lavender and Violet from the Smashbox palette and applied all over my lid, but mostly focused on the centre of my lid where it was still bare with Chestnut. I then reapplied Creme de Violet in the same places to really get that purple pop. In my inner corners, I used my MAC Lily-White pigment to open up and brighten my eyes. I finished off the look with my usual mascara: MAC's In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash.

Cheeks: Stereo Rose mineralized skin finish with Vanilla pigment for extra highlighting.

Lips: Okay, this was a fun 15 minute experience. Not really. During New York Fashion Week, MAC did a lot of the makeup and at the Blonds (do any of you know who this is? Because I don't) show, they had some wicked makeup looks. They were actually inspired by Joker's makeup from Batman. Anyways, they used the MAC Matte Heroine lipstick (one of my abolsute favorites!) and lined/filled in the lips with their Pearl Glide eyeliner in Designer Purple. Coincidently enough, I do indeed own that very liner. It was fate. So I lined and filled in my lips with it and then applied Heroine on top. I don't know what they did at the Blonds (seriously, who are they?) show, but the models lip's were purple. A very nice purple. Mine looked like that I'm-Freezing-To-Death blue/purple shade. It was actually kind of freaky to look at. So I took it off and just applied Heroine, sans lip liner (or eyeliner for that matter...).

And that my friends, is my second Look of the Day today for you! Hope you enjoyed!

Xoxo,
Russian Red.
