LOTD: February 23rd, 2014 (My First Day at Kiss and Makeup!)

Today was very exciting and the pressure was on as I had my first shift at Kiss and Makeup today! Kiss and Makeup is a cute little store in Park Royal village selling clothes, hair brands; like Oribe and Bumble&Bumble, skin care brands; for example Tatta Harper and Lina, makeup brands; like Stila, Becca, and Vincent Longo, as well as things like a laundry line and jewellery! It was only my first day, but I'm already in love with the stock, staff, and everything else! I was so stressed out in the morning with my makeup and outfit, but here's what I left the house with on my face:

Full Face

Lips: MAC Cremesheen lipstick in Crosswires

Eyes: MAC Black Swan Pearl Glide eyeliner, Urban Decay Naked 2 palette shadow Pistol, Blackout, and Verve.

Eyes: MAC Black Swan Pearl Glide eyeliner, Urban Decay Naked 2 palette shadow Pistol, Blackout, and Verve.

Eyes: MAC Black Swan Pearl Glide eyeliner, Urban Decay Naked 2 palette shadow Pistol, Blackout, and Verve.

Brows: MAC Folie shadow and Anastasia brow gel. 

Eyes: I used my MAC Pearl Glide eyeliner in Black Swan across my upper lid and then smudged it. I applied UD's shadow Pistol from the Naked 2 palette all over my lid, then applied the shade Blackout from the same palette in my crease and along half my upper lash line. I blended those two together and then applied Verve, also from the same palette, in my inner corners. For mascara, I used my Bobbi Brown Lash Glamour Extreme Lengthening mascara. 

Cheeks: MAC Stereo Rose mineralize skin finish. 

Lips: MAC Cremesheen Crosswires lipstick. 

I always think I like silver/grey on my eyes more than I actually do. I got so excited to use these colors because I haven't for so long and then I realized it's because I don't actually like them as much as I convince myself I do. So that was a lovely realization before I went to work. But I'm in love with Crosswires. I don't own any other coral-y lipsticks, but I'm so glad I have this one because it's such a pretty pop of color! 

I came home from work texting my boyfriend all about my first day and Momo and then I told my grandparent's all about it, too. I'm seriously so excited after my first day there because it's amazing! I loved learning all the product knowledge because it's what interests me and my role there is fairly simple—I'm there to clean/stock and assist the sales girl on the floor—and everyone there is super nice and welcoming and friendly! Ahh, I'm just so happy I got this job! It was the best first day ever! I'm really excited to see where this goes in the future and I'll be sure to share with you everything I learn regarding makeup!
