LOTD: June 14th, 2014

First day of summer break! Yaaaaay! I'm going to a Hawaiian themed birthday party tonight and I'm lame so I didn't dress up, but I did a bright makeup to go with the theme! I was sort of going for a "Hawaiian Sunset" look on my eyes.

Eyes: Urban Decay Electric palette, MAC Ever So Yellow pigment, and Guerlain Maxi Lash mascara in Violet

Face: MAC Face and Body foundation in N1,  MAC Full of Joy blush, ABH Contour Kit, and Nars Copacabana Illuminator.

Brows: ABH Dipbrow in Auburn

Eyes: I applied Savage from Urban Decay's Electric palette to my lid and then blended Slowburn, from the same palette, into the crease and then into Savage. Blending into those two colors and into my crease, I added some of MAC's Ever So Yellow pigment; as well as applying it to my inner corners. On my lower lashline, I blended Savage and Slowburn together again. Eyeliner in Geisha Ink and mascara is Guerlain's Maxi Lash in Violet.

Lips: I forgot to take a photo of my lips! Sorry! I'm wearing MAC's limited edition Dodgy Girl lipstick without any liner.

I got a lot of comments and looks from this look, but I am very proud of it and how it turned out.

Woohoo! I hope everyone had a fabulous Friday! I finished school for the summer today which is great, got my Aritzia contract, had a poker night at my boyfriend's place AND I ACTUALLY WON A ROUND! And of course, today was a good face day—in my opinion—so looks like today was pretty great for me! I'm using some of my new products in today's look and I can already say, I love them. Reviews to come soon!

New Babies! Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, Nyx Cosmetics Jumbo Milk Pencil, MAC Light Boost Highlighter, and a Few MAC Limited EditionCollection Pieces!

I FINALLY GOT THE CONTOUR KIT! Today was a good shopping day--I got a lot of wonderful products! Details below!

Left: MAC Kelly Yum Yum lipstick (pink) and Dodgy Girl lipstick (purple), Centre: Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit and MAC Light Boost Prep+Prime Highlighter, Right: MAC Sea Worshipper eyeshadow, Bottom: Nyx Milk Jumbo Lip Pencil

MAC Limited Edition Kelly Osbourne Lipsticks (From the Sharon and Kelly Osbourne Collection): MAC recently released a huge collaboration limited edition collection with the mother-daughter duo, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne. There were a ton of products I had my eyes on, but I went with two of the four lipsticks from Kelly's half of the collection. I love the purple packaging with Kelly's signature on it in pink, but I love these two lipstick shades even more! Dodgy Girl, a deeper lavender like purple, was the one thing in the collection I had my eye on from the very start. MAC doesn't have any colors like this as their purple's range from bright, matte purples like Heroine to softer, pinkier ones like Up the Amp, and then darker, steamy shades like Cyber. This purple leans more towards the pastel lavender side and I couldn't have asked for a better lipstick shade! The other lipstick I purchased from the collection, Kelly Yum Yum, was an impulse buy. I'm not a huge fan of pink lipstick on myself and as I was checking out, I was below my budget and asked one of the MAC girls to grab me Kelly Yum Yum to purchase as well. I had swatched the color a few minutes before and I liked it, but it didn't jump out at me as something I had to have. Now that I do have it though, it's amazing! I have never loved a pink lipstick like this before! I could wear it every day! I have actually had to restrain myself several times from repeatedly wearing it! It's a very bright pink lippie, and paired with MAC's Dynamo lip liner, it's perfection!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit: Okay, basically, Anastasia has not only claimed the Brow Queen crown, but the crown for overall beautiful products. The backstory on this kit is that it was originally only released in the states, sold out right away, has been back in stock very few times since, and was just put back in stock in all American and Canadian Sephora stores. Thankfully, I managed to get my hands on it and it has blown my socks right off. This Pro Contour Kit comes with three highlighting shades and three contouring shades. At first, because I am so fair skinned, I was worried I paid 60$ for shades that won't work for me, but the shades are all practically universal as long as you apply with a light hand and experiment a bit. This kit has definitely changed the way I do my makeup.

MAC Prep+Prime Highlighter in Light Boost: I used to to use the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat, but I wasn't quite satisfied with it as a highlighter or a concealer type product. The highlighter from MAC though, is a whole different story. It comes in four shades and I chose Light Boost because it is a very yellowy based highlighter. I don't wear concealer, I don't even own it, but because of it's yellowy base and opaqueness, it covers dark circles and any blemishes while also being a perfect highlighter for all the points on my face that I choose to highlight. For 30$, I think it is a little much, but I look forward to seeing how long the product lasts as it was smaller than I had anticipated.

MAC Sea Worshipper Limited Edition Eyeshadow from the Alluring Aquatics Collection: MAC's biggest and most anticipated summer collection for 2014 was the Alluring Aquatics collection. It was a big line, had stunning limited edition packaging, and wasn't the usual bronze style type of summer collection. I was enraptured with the packaging from the start, but once the actual collection had been released, I was a little disappointed. Nothing really caught my eye. Eventually, I had written the collection off, but in the end, I knew I had to buy something just for the sake of having that packaging in my collection. To be honest, after using this shadow, I regret the purchase; it's nothing special.

Nyx Cosmetics Milk Jumbo Pencil: I've never been huge on drugstore brand products, but Nyx changed that for me. Great brand, great products, great prices. I have heard a lot about this product and finally went to pick it up. It's great as an eyeshadow base, for combination with lipsticks, or just for use on it's own.

Like I said before, today was a very good shopping day!

Today went by so quickly! I was at the gym in the morning with my boyfriend and then we took a tour of the theatre we are renting for our Cabaret for a Cure show we're putting on and then we picked something up from my grandparent's house and we also played Cards Against Humanity with his sister which was super fun! LOTD: June 8th, 2014

Today's makeup look was inspired by @jenmiamakeup on Instagram! I have a "MUA Inspiration" album on my phone that I'm slowly working through. I'm really happy with how these eyes turned out today, I had a really fun time doing this look and it was easy, too! Unfortunately, I'm going through one of those phases where my brows hate me and I hate them... so please ignore my brows today, haha! And @roseandben liked and commented on this look's post on Instagram again! Ahhhh! I'm fan girling so hard core over her right now!

I am so impressed with how this look turned out today. It's a simple look, but my skin was so glowy and my eyeliner so fierce! New favourite look of mine for sure! Today was also a perfect day for me, by the way. Spent the day with my boyfriend and we had a BBQ at his house and them @jewshopalot liked a bunch of my photos on Instagram and @roseandben liked some of my photos, commented on one, AND STARTED FOLLOWING ME! After she followed me I was practically lying im bed crying. I love her so much and she's so amazing and ohmygosh she's following me. If you have Instagram, @jewshopalot and @roseandben are must follows!

I love today's look way more than I thought I would! I think smudged white eyeliner is my new favourite go to "lazy makeup"! Not only is it fun, you look awake—which is always a good thing! Haha! My skin was glowy, my eyes were awake, and I had bright lips... what more could a girl ask for?
