New Babies! Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit, Nyx Cosmetics Jumbo Milk Pencil, MAC Light Boost Highlighter, and a Few MAC Limited EditionCollection Pieces!

I FINALLY GOT THE CONTOUR KIT! Today was a good shopping day--I got a lot of wonderful products! Details below!

Left: MAC Kelly Yum Yum lipstick (pink) and Dodgy Girl lipstick (purple), Centre: Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit and MAC Light Boost Prep+Prime Highlighter, Right: MAC Sea Worshipper eyeshadow, Bottom: Nyx Milk Jumbo Lip Pencil

MAC Limited Edition Kelly Osbourne Lipsticks (From the Sharon and Kelly Osbourne Collection): MAC recently released a huge collaboration limited edition collection with the mother-daughter duo, Sharon and Kelly Osbourne. There were a ton of products I had my eyes on, but I went with two of the four lipsticks from Kelly's half of the collection. I love the purple packaging with Kelly's signature on it in pink, but I love these two lipstick shades even more! Dodgy Girl, a deeper lavender like purple, was the one thing in the collection I had my eye on from the very start. MAC doesn't have any colors like this as their purple's range from bright, matte purples like Heroine to softer, pinkier ones like Up the Amp, and then darker, steamy shades like Cyber. This purple leans more towards the pastel lavender side and I couldn't have asked for a better lipstick shade! The other lipstick I purchased from the collection, Kelly Yum Yum, was an impulse buy. I'm not a huge fan of pink lipstick on myself and as I was checking out, I was below my budget and asked one of the MAC girls to grab me Kelly Yum Yum to purchase as well. I had swatched the color a few minutes before and I liked it, but it didn't jump out at me as something I had to have. Now that I do have it though, it's amazing! I have never loved a pink lipstick like this before! I could wear it every day! I have actually had to restrain myself several times from repeatedly wearing it! It's a very bright pink lippie, and paired with MAC's Dynamo lip liner, it's perfection!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit: Okay, basically, Anastasia has not only claimed the Brow Queen crown, but the crown for overall beautiful products. The backstory on this kit is that it was originally only released in the states, sold out right away, has been back in stock very few times since, and was just put back in stock in all American and Canadian Sephora stores. Thankfully, I managed to get my hands on it and it has blown my socks right off. This Pro Contour Kit comes with three highlighting shades and three contouring shades. At first, because I am so fair skinned, I was worried I paid 60$ for shades that won't work for me, but the shades are all practically universal as long as you apply with a light hand and experiment a bit. This kit has definitely changed the way I do my makeup.

MAC Prep+Prime Highlighter in Light Boost: I used to to use the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat, but I wasn't quite satisfied with it as a highlighter or a concealer type product. The highlighter from MAC though, is a whole different story. It comes in four shades and I chose Light Boost because it is a very yellowy based highlighter. I don't wear concealer, I don't even own it, but because of it's yellowy base and opaqueness, it covers dark circles and any blemishes while also being a perfect highlighter for all the points on my face that I choose to highlight. For 30$, I think it is a little much, but I look forward to seeing how long the product lasts as it was smaller than I had anticipated.

MAC Sea Worshipper Limited Edition Eyeshadow from the Alluring Aquatics Collection: MAC's biggest and most anticipated summer collection for 2014 was the Alluring Aquatics collection. It was a big line, had stunning limited edition packaging, and wasn't the usual bronze style type of summer collection. I was enraptured with the packaging from the start, but once the actual collection had been released, I was a little disappointed. Nothing really caught my eye. Eventually, I had written the collection off, but in the end, I knew I had to buy something just for the sake of having that packaging in my collection. To be honest, after using this shadow, I regret the purchase; it's nothing special.

Nyx Cosmetics Milk Jumbo Pencil: I've never been huge on drugstore brand products, but Nyx changed that for me. Great brand, great products, great prices. I have heard a lot about this product and finally went to pick it up. It's great as an eyeshadow base, for combination with lipsticks, or just for use on it's own.

Like I said before, today was a very good shopping day!

Xoxo,
Russian Red.
